They are the pick me ups of the 21 century. They are the get me home during my 1-hour commute. They are the energy bursts before a workout. We put so much pressure on snacks to perform…and we are always left thinking…what should I have?

 

These 5 amazeballs snacks will get you through your week, hands down!

 

Well, let’s start with what not to have. Refined and processed flours and sugars are going to give you that small burst of energy, but then you’ll be digging high and low for more. High protein animal products are not going to give you the fuel you need and the brain power you need to get shwat done. So you need to have foods from the plant world that will feed your body, mind and soul and keep you getting it all done like a boss!

 

Here are a few:


Orange Chocolate Balls – There I said it. Chocolate! Why not indulge every now and again? You’ll make these yourself and the bright orange flavour will make your taste buds satisfied!

 

Chocolate Almond Energy Cubes – This has chocolate from it’s original source. Perfect before a long walk, big workout or power meeting.

 

The Hangry Muffin – A perfectly sophisticated smack to have with a cup of green tea. It has everything you need to get you to the next meal including zucchini!

 

A mini meal – Who says snacks need to be something other than real food? A bit of rice, sweet potato and some beans and you are laughing on a full belly. When you pack your lunch pack a smaller portion for when hunger hits.

 

Breakfast Balls – Breakfast, snack or pre-workout. It don’t matter! These babies will make you and your family happy!
