In this episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast, we talk with Rich Hubbard about his amazing transformational story from over 350 pounds to a lean, mean, muscle machine. Well, he’s lean, and nice, and having a blast training for his half marathon and building muscles. We ask him some of the hard questions about finally losing the weight, keeping it off and how his vision of himself changed. You’ll hear about his challenges, wins and how he dealt with the reminders of a man who he once was. You’ll love the actionable tips he gives for getting started and keeping it going. So be sure to share this episode with someone you love. And if you have not subscribed or left us a 5-star rating and review…we’d be grateful if you did.
Richard Hubbard grew up in northern Connecticut. He wasn’t obese as a kid, but definitely overweight. Rich first lost weight when he went to college. At Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, he found himself exercising, walking for long hours over the weekends in New York City. After college, he began having sedentary jobs. He eventually found himself over 350 pounds. He went to the doctor for a physical. The doctor told Rich he was morbidly obese and threatened medication for hypertension. Rich’s journey began. He lost 150 pounds and eventually became plant-based, avoiding medication and completely reversed his health problems.
