In today’s episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast, we revisit one of our classics with our friends Dr Garth Davis and Sid Garza-Hillman. We had a blast when we sat down for Deep Conversations with Sid Garza-Hillman and Dr. Garth Davis for a regular everyday conversation we had one night after a day of presenting at a health conference. We had no idea where it was going to go and we ended up talking about the Paleo lifestyle, Protein and having purpose. We hope you feel like you are there with us in that dinning room.
Sid Garza-Hillman
Sid Garza-Hillman is the author of three books: Approaching the Natural: A Health Manifesto, Raising Healthy Parents: Small Steps, Less Stress, and a Thriving Family and Six Truths: Live by these truths and be happy. Don’t and you won’t. He holds a BA in Philosophy from UCLA, is a public speaker, podcaster (What Sid Thinks Podcast), certified nutritionist & running coach, Oxygen Advantage breathing instructor, and founder of smallsteppers.com. He is the Stanford Inn & Resort’s Wellness Programs Director and Race Director of the Mendocino Coast 50K trail ultramarathon.
Dr. Garth Davis
Dr. Garth Davis, MD is now a surgeon at the Houston Methodist Department of Surgery. He started his career in Houston, Texas where he established The Davis Clinic and was an assistant professor of surgery at The University of Texas-Houston.
This special Dr is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also boarded in medical management of obesity. Dr. Davis is the author of two books: Proteinaholic: How Our Obsession with Meat Is Killing Us and The Expert’s Guide to Weight-Loss Surgery. In addition, he starred on a tv show called Big Medicine. Having spent 20 years in the field of surgical and medical weight management, Dr. Davis is a recognized expert in both surgical and medical management of obesity. He believes strongly in the comprehensive management of patients struggling with obesity. He is also a specialist in surgery of the foregut and has expertise in the management of reflux, heartburn, and achalasia.
