In today’s episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast we talk to Jason Reagan and Joe Treadaway about feeling isolated as a vegan and the best ways to find other vegans or finding like-minded people in your area. We explore ideas that are suitable for introverts and extroverts. Some ideas are pretty clear and simple and others seem to break the boundaries of social rules. We talk about our own experiences with feeling alone and how we found others just like us. Both Jason and Joe live in Texas, but many hours away from each other.
Jason Reagan is an author and speaker on creating mental and physical breakthroughs. His primary focus is how to combine maximum fitness with robust internal health while maintaining a well-rounded quality of life. He is the founder of Zen Station, a community center for personal growth, and also Joyfully Nutritious, which is an educational non-profit aimed at informing the public about healthy life choices.
Joe Treadaway is a Plant-based Nutrition Specialist certified through the T.Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University. His passion for healthy living is fueled by his family and being in the outdoors. It has become Joe’s life mission to educate a generation of parents and children with the objective of eradicating the scurries of the Western diet. Joe has also spent several years as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician and Fire Safety Instructor.
One thing we all agree on when finding like-minded people is “don’t be an ass”. No matter which path you take, being mean and judgy will get you nowhere!
