In this episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast, we talk with Nalida Besson about her plant-based journey, how it’s helped her family and of course, making whole food plant-based simple. She is a wife to a professional musician and they are the parents of three wonderful children who have various special needs including blindness, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Over the past eight years, she and her husband have each lost over 120 pounds and have reversed various health conditions. As you can imagine, she is a busy mom and has mastered the art of keeping a whole foods plant-based diet simple. She shares those ideas with us, thank goodness!
Nalida is an itinerant teacher of students with visual impairments (TVI) for Boston Public Schools. She also studied law and public administration. Nalida is passionate about health, fitness, and wellness. She has a registered educational wellness business in the city of Boston called Plant-Based God’s Grace. Through her business’s social media, she shares about her family’s health and fitness journey. She has written a short book about her journey of going from a size 24 to 6 and gaining health with tips for others wanting to lose weight entitled “Plant-Based God’s Grace: Nalida’s Health Journey of Releasing Over 100 Pounds, Quick-Start WFPB Guide”.
Nalida hopes to help families, including those who have children with and without disabilities, as well as urban communities to improve their health outcomes.
