In this episode of The Plant Trainers Podcast, we talk with John Lewis (BadAssVegan) about his new documentary film he co-produced with Keegan Kuhn called “They’re Trying To Kill Us”. We kick off the podcast talking about injustice, inequality, dealing with hate and the Black Lives Matter movement. Then we go into some of the details of the film on how black communities are being targeted creating health conditions throughout North America. As per usual, we leave you with actionable tips on how you can make a difference in this world.
You may remember John Lewis from The Plant Trainers Podcast number 223 about self-empowerment. He is an international public speaker, serial entrepreneur, wellness advocate, and activist for the wellness of all living beings. Now he can add author, film producer, and director to his resume. John’s education in business coupled with his love for health and fitness gave him the ability to start his venture – Bad Ass Vegan – a health and nutrition company that strives to educate individuals on plant-based nutrition. John’s love for his community brought forth the brainchild of “VeganSmart”, a plant-based protein shake company with a foundation whose mission is to prevent obesity through education, physical activity and plant-based nutrition. Now John is taking on a new challenge as a film director and book author.
